April marks National Garden Month

April marks National Garden Month, and the National Gardening Association is encouraging individuals, communities and organizations to celebrate.

The association has posted “101 ways to celebrate” on its website to give people ideas to get started.

“Gardeners know, and research confirms, that nurturing plants is good for us: attitudes toward health and nutrition improve, kids perform better at school, and community spirit grows,” the NGA wrote on its website.
