Yesterday I had stopped at Rock Ledge Garden Center in Wayne to see if they had a certain perennial I was looking for. They did not but I wandered around and decided to buy a hanging plant and three plant pots. The owner suggested I buy potting soil too - I was going to use plain dirt. I told her what I was planting and she told me I needed 3 bags minimum. It turns out I only needed 1.5 bags. Today I went to return the extra bag. She told me I could only get a store credit and not a credit to my charge card that I had paid with. She said it was store policy. I had not noticed any signs around stating it but I wasn't looking for them anyhow when I bought the stuff. Regardless of the store policy, they should have given me the charge card credit because I had only bought the quantity she deemed necessary. I will not be shopping at Rock Ledge Garden Center in Wayne again and I urge others to be careful if they do shop there. I am informing other locals via email and Facebook.
